Time and Tide Museum, Great Yarmouth

  • Norfolk Museum Service

  • £4.7M

A flagship scheme for the refurbishment and conversion of a Grade ll listed Victorian building, one of the last surviving herring curing complexes in Great Yarmouth.  Our involvement assisted with the creation of a modern museum for Great Yarmouth with working displays of the herring curing process, together with material on the town’s ships and trades and medieval history.

Work began on the £4.7million conversion of the former Tower Curing Works into the Time and Tide Museum of Yarmouth Life in 2002 and was completed in 2004.
