We acted as Civil and Structural Engineers and CDM co-ordinators on this prestigious and challenging redevelopment to create 17 apartments and restaurant in one of the oldest developed parts of Norwich.  The site shares boundaries with nine other properties requiring careful liaison with Party Wall Surveyors, and was subject to a watching brief by archaeologists.

Two sets of human remains dating back to the 11th century were found and exhumed during the works.  Careful use of conservation techniques including lime-mortar stabilisation allowed much of the original historic building fabric to be retained on site and the trademark front facade facing the cathedral gate to be retained and restored to its former glory.
