Following a successful period where we have experienced a steady increase in workload and the instruction on a number of exciting new projects, we’re pleased to announce the recent appointment of two new experienced engineers to strengthen our civil and structural engineering teams. Glenn Gammons joins us as a Principal Structural Engineer and Richard Martin as a Principal Civil Engineer.
Glenn has over 20 years experience as a designer, and has progressed from draughtsman to Chartered Engineer giving him a broad range of skills to draw from in both structural and civil engineering. During his time as an Engineer, he has worked on and managed a wide variety of projects from conception to completion, including pre-planning work. Recent notable projects include the Whittle Building for Peterhouse College, Cambridge with John Simpson architects – a £6.5m development including basement construction between listed buildings, featuring a gym, conference room and student accommodation. Glenn is currently working on projects at Easton College and also a student accommodation block for Hughes Hall, Cambridge.
Richard is an experienced civil and infrastructure engineer with over 14 years experience working locally and across the UK on a diverse range of projects including residential, commercial and educational developments. Richard can provide detailed advice on a range of services and is able to successfully manage projects from their early pre-planning stages through to site construction. Richard specialises in pre-planning and due-diligence assessments including Flood Risk Assessments and Surface Water Drainage Statements. Richard’s extensive understanding of each individual developments design constraints enables him to provide early pre-planning advice/reports which enable planning permission to be obtained using practical and buildable solutions that can be carried over to the detailed design stage.
